Five of Cups

Five of Cups is about a time of loss, and more important, our reaction to loss.
The woman in the card is looking at the three cups that have spilled.  She does not appear to be looking at the two cups that are still upright.  Is she aware of them and just contemplating the loss?  Or is she ignoring what she still has?
You can be overwhelmed by loss and ignore what you have, or you can study the loss, face it and move on.
The castle in the distance is a journey away, but there are bridges to make the trip easier and the woman has not lost everything.  What will she do?  What will you do?

Five of Cups

The Five of Cups has an emotional message.  Cups are about emotions and this card is about being stuck in negative emotions.  There are five cups present, three of them have spilled and the figure in the card is focused on those three.  But two cups are still upright, why are they being ignored?  It is often our tendency to be overwhelmed by what we have lost and refuse to look at what we still have.   If you have experienced a loss and seem to be stuck in that loss, take a look around and see if there is still some good left that you haven't looked at in a while.
