The Ten of Swords is a final message about your current
path. Stop beating your head against a
wall. Too many things have gone wrong,
been left unfinished, been ignored. It
is time to either leave this project or to take some time and rethink your
approach. Continuing to spend your time
and energy on a course that is not working will not result in success. If this path is important to you then you
must find a different way to achieve your goals. If it is not important, then walk away.

Knight of Cups
The Knight of Cups is devoted to emotion. Cups are a symbol of Water, the West and Emotions.
This Knight rides a white unicorn, a symbol of purity and innocence. He is not pursuing the Cup as much as he is connected with it. The Knight is courtly, romantic and treats everyone with the same courtesy. This card may be an affirmation of the qualities of someone in your life. Often acting as a messenger, the Knight may be telling you of good things to come on an emotional level.
I thought it was interesting to draw this card for Valentine's Day. This Knight might have much to tell you about this day.

The Moon
The Moon represents the hidden, the secret, the mystical.
There is some difference of opinion as to what kind of secrets. Are they dark knowledge, hidden for a reason? Or are they gifts from the Goddess, represented by the presence of the Moon, mystical insights full of knowledge? If you are seeking hidden knowledge or secrets, take a minute and consider carefully what it is that you are seeking and what you will do with what you learn. Be honest with yourself before you resume your pursuit.

9 of Wands
The 9 of Wands is the picture of vigilance. The entire group seems to be facing a coming twilight and are prepared for anything. Wands are a symbol of the South, Fire, Creativity and Courage. Maintaining integrity and vigilance in unknown circumstances takes courage and commitment.
The 9 of Wands can signal the near completion of a difficult task, but there is still at least one more obstacle to overcome. This is the time to persist and not be drawn off course by the difficulty.

an unplanned absence
Sorry to have been gone for so long. An accident in early January sort of slowed me down for a while.
I was playing with the Shadowscapes Tarot this evening and suddenly felt inspired to get back to sharing the deck with you. It is a gorgeous deck. Watch for a card tomorrow.

The Star
The Star is a card of hope, courage, inspiration and the knowledge that the Universe is pouring out good things for you at this time. A sense of peace and tranquility accompanies The Star. If you are in the midst of a personal transformation, hold onto the peace of this card and be successful. If you are feeling rushed and disorganized you need to slow down and reach out to your spiritual side for balance so that you can continue.

The Moon
The Moon is a card of intuition, of dreams and of illusions. When it appears in a reading it may be warning you of your own emotional responses. You may be ignoring pitfalls and problems along your path. On the other hand you may be only looking at the problems and becoming absorbed in failure. Look deeper into your motives, goals and desires and be honest with yourself about the real roots of your reactions to your world. The light of the Moon is a reflection and does not fully illuminate your surroundings, you must look more closely to see reality.

5 of Swords
I dealt three cards and asked for information about yesterday, today and tomorrow. This is the third card.
The Five of Swords is a card of conflict. In many decks it depicts one person holding 5 swords while defeated adversaries flee the field. When it refers to the present the Five of Swords asks you to evaluate the conflict you are involved in and be sure that it is worth it to engage in the conflict at all. Winning the battle and losing the war is a saying that comes to mind for the Five of Swords.
But I drew this card in a position of asking about the future and in that position this card can mean the end of a conflict. One way or another it is over, time to move on.
I chose to depict this with the Shadowscape's Five of Swords rather than the Mystic Dreamer card, which is the deck I used. The Shadowscape's card depicted the meaning of this card in this context in a better way to me. While there is still some doubt as to the validity of the conflict, it is now over.

SIx of Pentacles
I love this 6 of Pentacles from the Shadowscapes Tarot. In many traditional decks this card is depicted as a person with coins faced with two people who need and choosing one and not the other. It is often read as being about choices and balance and about giving and sharing.
In this Shadowscapes card there is no decision between the two needy persons, but there is still a choice, to give or not to give. The coins are falling out of sight, but below where they land green, lovely growth is taking place. Perhaps the choice is about sharing and not about seeing the results of that sharing. Just assume that it is beautiful.

Shadowscapes
This has to be the most beautiful deck ever. I love just looking at it and it has changed my perception of some cards. What is your most beautiful deck? Do you use it for readings, meditation or just love owning the beauty of it?
