Knight of Swords

The face cards are often representative of people in our lives who may affect the outcome of projects or plans or even phases of our lives.
The Knight of Swords is a person of intellect, impressive intellect.  He is focused and single minded and determined, but he is not one to indulge in emotional turmoil.  If a Knight of Swords is available when you need clear headed advice, make use of his talents.

Queen of Cups

Who is the Queen of Cups?
She is emotion, she is a patron of the arts.  She admires beauty in everything.  She enjoys being surrounded by friends and is sensitive to their feelings.  But she can also be introverted and moody.  If you have a Queen of Cups in your life enjoy sharing the beauty of her surroundings with her and accept the mood swings.

Ten of Cups

The couple in this card dance and celebrate their good fortune.  But their affluence is not random, they have worked hard, cultivated family and business ties and played by the rules.  They have been honest with their emotions.  Laying that good foundation is the basis for prosperity of all kinds.  If you have skipped the step of making sure that you have laid this good foundation, it is not too late to go back and fill in the gaps, make right your mistakes and enjoy setting goals with like minded family and friends. Enjoy the rewards of your hard work and share your prosperity.

Three of Wands

The Three of Wands is a time of the beginning of a great venture.   You have taken the initiative and started a new path.  The three wands planted in the soil may be of your own work, laying the groundwork, or they may have been left there by others who are following their own adventures and are intended to give you incentive to do the same.
Either beginning is a time of hope, adventure and the excitement of a new project.

Five of Cups

Five of Cups is about a time of loss, and more important, our reaction to loss.
The woman in the card is looking at the three cups that have spilled.  She does not appear to be looking at the two cups that are still upright.  Is she aware of them and just contemplating the loss?  Or is she ignoring what she still has?
You can be overwhelmed by loss and ignore what you have, or you can study the loss, face it and move on.
The castle in the distance is a journey away, but there are bridges to make the trip easier and the woman has not lost everything.  What will she do?  What will you do?

Page of Pentacles

The Page of Pentacles is showing us a pentacle that she has just made beautiful.  She is creative and clever with handling resources.  She is also interested in learning new things and looks for ways to create pieces like this.  The Pentacle is the sign of the Earth and associated with material gain and comfort.  This is a card to encourage you to take on those projects that you have been thinking about that will add to your comfort or health.   It is nearly spring and a good time to start a new and creative project.  Gardening, art, fixing up all those things you have been looking at, starting a new activity.  Copy the Page’s willingness to learn something new.

Four of Cups

The Four of Cups tells that we are emotionally withdrawn.  Hurt, betrayed, overwhelmed or just bored with the emotions around us, settling into depression or avoidance is a way of not seeing what you are missing.    Three beautiful cups sit just out of reach, but the figure in the card is not looking at them.  She is also not looking at the overflowing cup sitting behind her, carrying the replenishment that she needs.  Nor is she looking at the stag or the castle, also behind her and waiting for her to come and reap the rewards that they offer.    This is an interesting portrait of what we might be missing when we let ourselves withdraw or focus only on the negative.
